The brushes in this set are absolutely smaller than pictured, more like about 2/3 the size of the bag (I think the brushes were enlarged in the photo). The bristles are not the soft potential of the normal sized Mac brushes. These brushes are good for voyage or when you don't have the money for the full-sized brushes. But, I prefer the regular Mac brushes and encourage you to buy the full-sized ones instead.
